Like a Dragon Gaiden Releasing in November

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced that Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will release on November 9, 2023. The action-adventure brawler will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A new trailer for the game can be viewed below.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is set between the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and the upcoming Like a Dragon 8. The game follows regular series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, who is now operating under the codename “Joryu”. Its story sees him thrust into conflict by a figure trying to drive him out of hiding.

The game will see players exploring the locations of Sotenbori and Yokohama. It will include two different fighting styles — Yakuza and Agent — as well as the series’ regular side content and games. Those who pre-order the game will receive the Legendary Fighter Pack, which adds Goro Majima, Taiga Saejima, and Daigo Dojima as opponents in its Battle Arena.
