For the King II Beta Beginning Next Week

Curve Games and IronOak Games announced a closed beta for For the King II. The beta will run for PC on Steam, starting at 10am PST/6pm BST on May 10, 2023, and running until 10am PST/6pm BST on May 16, 2023. Those interested in participating can register through the game’s Steam page.

The beta will include access to the first of the game’s five adventures in both single-player and multiplayer. It will also include six characters classes; Blacksmith, Scholar, Hunter, and Stableboy will be available from the outset, with Herbalist and Alchemist unlocked through gameplay.

For The King II is a follow-up to 2019’s strategy RPG/board game hybrid For The King. It takes players to the land of Fahrul, where they attempt to defeat its tyrannical Queen. Players select a party from a variety of classes before venturing through the procedurally-generated world, which has hex-based maps but grid-based combat. The more players play, the more items they can unlock for future playthroughs. For the King II is planned to release on PC later this year.
