Hack-and-Slash RPG Hammerwatch II Announced

Publisher Modus Games and developer Crackshell have announced Hammerwatch II. The game is a hack-and-slash action RPG and a follow-up to 2013 title Hammerwatch. The game is planned to release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch this summer. A special Hammerwatch II: The Chronicles Edition is available for preorder for $39.99 at retail and digitally that includes a remastered version of the original Hammerwatch plus additional character color palettes, facial items, and a character voice pack.

Hammerwatch II sees players controlling members of King Roland’s resistance after Blight the Horrible and his dragon army succeed in overthrowing him and bringing ruin to the Kingdom of Herian. The game features solo and co-op play for up to four players as they travel the kingdom undertaking various quests. It feature five character classes — Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, and Warlock — as well as new day/night cycles, a map editor, and mod support at launch.
