NIS America, FuRyu Announce Crymachina

NIS America and FuRyu have announced action RPG Crymachina. The game, which is developed with studio Aquria, will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The Japanese console release will come first on July 6, 2023, with worldwide PC plus North American and European console releases following in fall 2023.

Crymachina is set in a post-apocalyptic world where mechanical girls aim to survive and become real humans. It features three playable characters with main protagonist Leben Distel starting as a girl in modern times, where a strange disease runs rampant and has left her at death’s door. However, she hears a voice say she has been chosen and awakens in the post-apocalyptic world in a place called Eden where machines are continuing to work in the hope of restoring humanity. She is guided by an android named Enoa in the battle to create real humans.

The game sees players travelling between the battlegrounds filled with mechanical foes around Eden and a safe haven known as Imitation Garden. At the garden, players can relax, customise weapons, and witness conversations between the game’s characters.
