Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution Announced
Compile Heart has announced Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution, a new spin-off to the Neptunia series. The game is planned to release in Japan on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on August 10, 2023.
Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution stars an older version of series protagonist Neptune. It is set in a world with competing game studios and sees Neptune joining up with a trio of developer goddesses whose endeavour went under after losing market share in order to revive their fortunes. The three goddesses joining Neptune as playable characters are Pipi, Jarga, and Lideo, with previous character Croire also set to return.
Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution will feature four-character parties in its action combat system and players will be able to explore areas on a motorbike, with some areas featuring racing sections. Various elements will return, including goddess transformations and EXE Drive attacks, as well as a photo mode. The game will add new studio management elements, where players can develop discs that improve characters skills. As the company grows, better discs can be developed.
