The Thaumaturge Announced

Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Fool’s Theory have announced a new turn-based RPG, The Thaumaturge. The game, which is billed as a story-driven RPG and features isometric exploration, is in development for PC and does not yet have a release window.

The Thaumaturge is set in an alternate version of 1905 Warsaw, following its recent annexation by the Russian Empire. Its setting features supernatural beings called Salutors that exist in the cracks of the real world. These Salutors can only be fully perceived by Thaumaturges, people who use their unique abilities and see deep into the psyches of humans. Thaumaturges use the Salutors and their abilities to manipulate other humans and change the world around them.

The Thaumaturge is being developed in Unreal Engine 5. Players will be able to build their character in different ways and approach situations differently. There will also be various choices where players will have to deal with the aftermath.
