The Witcher 3 Gets Trailer Ahead of Next-Gen Release

CD Projekt RED released a new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunts upcoming dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release. The two-minute video highlights the game’s story as Geralt searches for his adopted daughter Ciri at the behest of the Nilfgaardian Emporer Emhyr. Ciri is the last of a line that has special powers over time and space and is being stalked by the spectral Wild Hunt.

The dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will launch on December 14, 2022, as the “Complete Edition” — also available on PC — and come with all of the game’s free DLC and both the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions included. Those who own the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be able to upgrade to the new versions for free, with the PC version to also receive an update containing the next-gen improvements including ray tracing support, improved load times, and mod integration. Both the new versions and the existing PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch release will receive a free update containing selected improvements and new content based on The Witcher TV series from Netflix.
