Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten Gets Japanese Demo, Media

Aquaplus announced it is releasing a demo for Utawarerumono title Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten in Japan. The demo will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 2, 2022. It will let players play up to the middle of the game’s third chapter, with save data able to be transferred to the main game. The developer also released two new Japanese trailers showing two event scenes, the first featuring Oshtor and Anju, with the second featuring Honoka and Mayacowl.

In addition, Aquaplus updated the game’s official Japanese website with some new screenshots and art showing more characters appearing in the game. The eleven newly-confirmed characters feature a mix of new and familiar names: Ashta, Nava, Dikotoma, Raiko, Maroro, Torikori, Ryogen, Ishinen, Azuma, Vurai, and Irawaji.

Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten acts as a prequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, and tells the story of major character Oshtor. At the time of the game, Oshtor is living with his mother and sister in a province of the Yamato Empire and investigates a matter for the local lord, during which he comes across a girl named Shunya. The game features a turn-based battle system as opposed to the rest of the series’ grid-based tactical combat. Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten will now release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan and for PC worldwide on November 17, 2022, with the PC release being published by Shiravune and DMM Games.
