Horror RPG They Speak From the Abyss Announced, Kickstarter Campaign Underway

Publisher 2 Left Thumbs and developer Nikki Kalpa have announced They Speak From the Abyss. The game is a psychological horror dungeon-crawling RPG with designs inspired by Clive Barker and Junji Ito. The game is currently undergoing a Kickstarter campaign and has a demo available on Steam and itch.io. It is planned to release on PC in 2023.

They Speak From the Abyss follows a young woman named Vanessa Rivera. She is propelled into a world of nightmares called the Abyss, where she must face the manifestations of her own demons, many of which make use of body-horror. Some of the demons can be talked to and reasoned with, while other will need to be fought through the game’s active-time battle system. The game is expected to last around twenty hours.

They Speak From the Abyss’s Kickstarter campaign has a $20,000 funding goal and is set to run until November 24, 2022. Those who pledge at least $20 will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards.
