Fire Emblem Engages New Story Trailer

Nintendo released a new story trailer for the upcoming Fire Emblem Engage. The three-minute video showcases many of the game’s characters, and hints at various story elements as players control a Divine Dragon aiming to collect Emblem Rings in order to restore peace to the land. These rings have the power to summon heroes from other worlds and are instrumental to fighting back against the reawakening Fell Dragon, who was sealed a thousand years ago.

The latest game in the long-running tactical RPG series, Fire Emblem Engage is planned to release for Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023. The Emblem Rings allow players to summon heroes from past games, such as Marth and Celica. The rings grant their wearer boosted stats and new abilities, as well as letting them “engage” to combine their strength and unlock unique attacks.
