Biomutant Gets PS5, Xbox Series X|S Gameplay Videos

THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 have released new gameplay videos for its upcoming dedicated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Biomutant. The different console versions will include faster loading times, dynamic resolution, and HDR with three performance modes: Quality Mode, Performance Mode, and Quality Unleashed. Quality Mode supports native 4K resolution (1440p on Xbox Series S) at stable 30 fps, Performance Mode features native 1440p resolution (1080p on Xbox Series S) at stable 60 fps, and Quality Unleashed supports native 4K resolution (1440p on Xbox Series S) at up to 60 fps.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Biomutant will release on September 6, 2022, priced at $39.99/€39.99/£34.99. Owners of the PlayStation 4 version can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 and owners of the Xbox One version can upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S version for free. Save games and trophies/achievement progress can be transferred between the relevant versions.

Biomutant takes place in a post-apocalyptic, kung fu-inspired setting where players take control of an anthropomorphized creature. As players explore the game’s open world, they are able to use mutations to customise their character and their powers. The game originally released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2021.
