Tactical RPG Wartales Receiving Large-Scale Early Access Update

Developer Shiro Games announced an upcoming update for its Steam Early Access version of open-world tactical RPG Wartales. The “Great Gosenberg” update adds the capital city of Gosenberg, including new main story content as players travel its streets and sewers. The update, which is set to release in September, will also include new equipment upgrade options, as well as additional challenges and missions.

Wartales takes place in the remnants of the Edoran Empire, which still suffer from the effects of a plague one hundred years earlier. Players take control of the leader of a warband as they attempt to survive the cutthroat world by recruiting mercenaries and taking on dangerous missions to pay the bills. The game features turn-based combat with the open world planned to allow for creative solutions to combat.
