Development Suite RPG Developer Bakin Announced
Japanese development studio SmileBoom has announced its upcoming RPG creation tool. RPG Developer Bakin will let players create their own RPGs without any prior programming knowledge. The package will include a 3D map editor, audio and visual assets, and a character status database. The map editor will include features like weather patterns, time of day, fog, lighting, and depth of focus, and an event editor will make use of function panels that trigger certain actions such as changing locations and looting chests. Creators will even be able to add their own assets to the creation suite.
RPG Developer Bakin is slated to release for PC on Steam Early Access sometime in 2022. Further details on the suite’s official functions will be published on its official site as they become available.
