Worth Life Releasing in July

Marvelous subsidiary Hakama, which recently worked on Rune Factory 4 Special and Rune Factory 5, announced that it is releasing side-scrolling RPG Worth Life in North America and Europe on July 14, 2022. The game, which released in Japan in 2021, will be available digitally exclusively on Nintendo Switch for $24.99.

Worth Life is mixing life-sim and action RPG elements. It is set in a land where the crystals in each region have lost their light, resulting in numerous strange incidents. Players control one of thirty individuals randomly selected to appear before the king and tasked with finding a solution. Granted a million gold coins, players are given free rein to go about this task as they choose, such as funding adventures to take on evil or to invest in farming and housing.

Players can freely switch between the male and female protagonist appearance and can upgrade their character in different ways. The game includes a “spark” progression system, whereby exploring and trying new actions lets them learn new abilities and skills. It includes three difficulty levels, with players able to change difficulty mid-playthrough.
