The Use of Life Available on Steam Early Access

Publisher Playism and solo developer Daraneko Games have released the Steam Early Access version of game book RPG The Use of Life. The Early Access version is available for $17.99 and includes English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language support. The game is expected to spend around a year and a half in Early Access, with the initial version allowing players to reach just beyond the game’s first major story branch. A demo is also available to try on Steam.

The Use of Life follows the player character on a fantasy adventure, with their choices impacting their attributes, resources, status, and those they encounter. The game’s multiple endings are intended to be neither outright good nor bad. Combat is command-based with QTE elements, while certain events use dice rolls to determine their outcomes.
