Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds Releasing This Month

Publisher and developer Netmarble announced that Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds will launch internationally on May 25, 2022. The free-to-play title, which released in Japan in 2021, will be available on PC, iOS, and Android and feature cross-play between the mobile and PC versions. Pre-registration is available through the game’s official website.

A spin-off to Level-5’s Ni no Kuni series, Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is an action RPG that puts players in the role of a beta tester for a virtual reality game called Soul Divers. However, the game world they enter appears to be real. Players are entrusted by a girl named Rania with the task of rebuilding a kingdom ransacked by monsters. It includes music from series composer Joe Hisashi.

Combat sees players joined by up to three familiars, while players can create and decorate their own farms. There are five playable classes — Swordsman, Witch, Rogue, Engineer, and Destroyer — each with a customisable appearance. Players can also join together to make their kingdoms stronger.
