Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Receives Closed Beta

Square Enix announced a closed beta for mobile RPG Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent’s western release later this year. The closed beta will run on Android devices from 5pm PDT on March 22, 2022, through to 11:59pm PDT on April 4, 2022, with players able to register through the Google Play Store.

Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a single-player free-to-play prequel to the Nintendo Switch game Octopath Traveler and released for iOS and Android in Japan in October 2020. The game features the same “HD-2D” graphics from the original title and lets players form a party of up to eight characters to use in battles, with 64 characters available at launch.
