Kickstarter Check-In: The Silent Kingdom

Developer Lucky Cat begun a Kickstarter campaign for its game, The Silent Kingdom which is a dark otome RPG. The main character is a princess, whose kingdom has fallen under a curse. She has her own background, but players can choose her name, personality, emotions, and decisions. As with many otome games, players will also be able to romance other characters in The Silent Kingdom. However, the developer states players are not required to romance in the campaign, including “adult, non explicit scenes”.

The Silent Kingdom’s Kickstarter campaign is looking for €30,000 (around $33,700) in funding and is set to run until February 14, 2022. Those who pledge at least €15 (around $17) will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. The Silent Kingdom is currently planned to release for PC in late 2023/early 2024. The art style will be done in anime style with CGs. A demo is currently available on Steam and itch.io.
