Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor Announced, Kickstarter Campaign Underway
Developer Spiderweb Software has announced Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor, the second game in its planned Queen’s Wish trilogy following Queen’s Wish: The Conqueror. The developer has also begun a Kickstarter campaign for the game.
Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor puts players in the role of the youngest child of the Empire of Haven’s Queen Sharyn. However, the queen has fallen ill and enemies are acting upon the current state of weakness. After players are attacked by rebels in the Rokaj wilds, they are commanded to bring the rebellion to an end and reconquer the region, but its fate will be up to the player.
Like previous titles from the developer, Queen’s Wish 2 features retro 80s-styled gameplay as players explore its large world with various towns and dungeons. The game features turn-based combat, multiple factions to deal with violently or diplomatically, and a fort-building system.
The Kickstarter campaign has a funding goal of $40,000 and is set to run until September 16, 2021. Those who pledge at least $20 will receive a digital copy of the game as part of their backer rewards. Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor is being developed for PC and Mac and is currently expected to launch in 2022.
