Mary Skelter Finale Screenshots Showcase Combat

Idea Factory International released some new English screenshots for Mary Skelter Finale, in addition to updating the game’s official website. The screenshots showcase the game’s battle system, where up to five Blood Maidens fight in turn-based combat. Attacking weak points causes Overkills and pink blood splatter. This blood splatter causes the Maidens to grow stronger, with a full blood meter letting players unleash Massacre Mode or Blood Skelter Mode.

The Kagome-Kagome Effect occurs when enemies splatter enough blood and causes them to turn away from the party, leaving them defenceless. In addition, characters can cut in at the start of a turn (known as a Critical Notice), which indicates a higher chance of critical attack. This only applies to attacks, however, and not recovery skills.

Mary Skelter Finale is a sequel to Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2. It follows six protagonists who have escaped from the living prison known as The Jail only to discover that the outer world is filled with the bodies of those killed by Genocide Pink. Finale includes an adventure mode that recaps the events of the previous two games. The game will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in North America on September 30, 2021, and in Europe on October 1, 2021.
