Magic: Legends Shutting Down

Just months after the start of the game’s open beta, Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that Magic: Legends will be shutting down. The free-to-play MMORPG will come to a close on October 31, 2021, and full refunds will be given to those who spent money on the game, including the Planeswalker Bundle and all virtual currencies. Refunds are expected to take up to four weeks to complete. An upcoming patch will make all items available for in-game currency.

Magic: Legends is an action MMORPG set in the universe of the Magic: The Gathering card game. Players create their own planeswalker and travel the many planes, fighting monsters and gaining items and experience. For more info on the game’s closure, the company’s full statement can be read here.
