New World Gets Another New Release Date

Amazon Games has announced that its upcoming MMORPG New World has been delayed from its spring 2021 time frame to August 31, 2021. In a developer update for the game, the company stated the reason for the delay was to have more endgame content ready at launch. A closed beta for the game will begin on July 20, 2021, for those who have pre-ordered the game.

The closed beta will have additional content such as the Ebonscale Reach, an endgame zone that finds players confronting an exiled empress who is building a fleet that could threaten the world. Players will also be able to participate in Expeditions, instanced dungeons for up to five players, and Outpost Rush, a 20 vs. 20 PvP mode where players vie for control of key strategic points and resources.

New World is an MMORPG where players have freshly arrived on the shores of Aeternum, a land of magic and mystery. The game is set to release on PC.
