Cube World Releasing Next Week

Picroma has announced that its voxel-based open-world RPG Cube World will be released on September 30, 2019, after eight years in development. The game will be available for PC through Steam, with all those who purchased its original alpha release getting a Steam code and currently able to access a closed beta version.

The alpha version of Cube World was originally released in 2013, though a DDoS attack on the game’s website resulted in significant delays to the game, which is created by solo developer Wolfram von Funck. The game is exploration-focused, with players making their way around a procedurally-generated fantasy world made up of cubes. The game includes a 3D map, crafting, four different classes, quests, monsters, tameable pets, hang-gliding, co-op online multiplayer, and more.
