Sword of the Necromancer Receives Cinematic Trailer
Grimorio of Games and JanduSoft released an opening cinematic trailer for action roguelike Sword of the Necromancer. The animation is produced by Sunshine Animation Studio and gives a quick glimpse of the game’s story and enemies. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on December 10, 2020. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are also planned, but will be released at a later date.
Sword of the Necromancer follows Tama, a rogue tasked with escorting priestess Koko on her continental pilgrimage. Unfortunately, Koko dies on their travels, and Tama carries her body to the Necromancer’s crypt, where the power to resurrect the dead is said to lie. In addition to using fallen enemies to fight, Tama also has access to numerous weapon types. Two-player local co-op can also be unlocked through an item called the Flask of the Homunculus, which creates a copy of Tama. The copy has access to all of Tama’s abilities except for being able to revive enemy monsters. A free prologue demo is currently available to download via Steam.
