Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y PS4 Version, Switch Update Dated in Japan

Level-5 announced that the PlayStation 4 version of Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu will launch in Japan this October. The game released for Nintendo Switch in Japan in August 2020 and is a spin-off set around the elite Y Academy. It stars new protagonist Jinpei Jiba, a member of the YSP Club. The club’s members investigate mysteries around the academy and the surrounding Academy City.

In addition, Level-5 revealed that the game’s first major update will launch on Nintendo Switch on September 30, 2020. The update adds online multiplayer, as well as new story episodes, dungeons, playable characters, and more. Other updates are planned that will unlock the level cap and add new equipment, skills, a higher difficulty mode, and a new “Be the Character” multiplayer mode.
