Monster Crown Hitting Steam Early Access Next Month

Studio Aurum and Soedesco have announced that monster-taming RPG Monster Crown will arrive on Steam Early Access on July 31, 2020. The companies have not yet revealed what the initial Early Access version will include or how long the game is expected to spend in Early Access, but did release a new gameplay trailer, viewable below. In addition, a free demo will be made available during the Steam Game Festival that runs from June 16-22, 2020.

Monster Crown is set 20 years after a group rose up and overthrew the tyrannical Philosopher Kings that ruled Crown Island. However, a woman is now seeking to get hold of the Kings’ power, with players traveling across the land and making pacts with monsters as they seek to stop her. The game features over 200 base monsters, which can be bred and fused to create brand new species. The game underwent a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign in 2018.
