13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Launching in September

Atlus today announced that Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will launch for PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on September 8, 2020. The game will be available physically and digitally. A physical $59.99 launch edition will include a bonus physical art book, while pre-orders on the PlayStation Store will receive a bonus digital art book.

At launch, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will include Japanese voice overs only, but English voice overs will be added at a later date through a patch. The game will come with English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German subtitles.

13 Sentinels: Aegis RimĀ takes place after a catastrophe hits the planet following the arrival of large meteorite-like objects and features time-travel elements. Players control pilots of giant mechs called Sentinels and use them to fight off waves of attacking kaiju in top-down combat. A new trailer viewable below introduces the thirteen Sentinel pilots whose stories interconnect.

  1. English voices will be patched in later, huh? That My Hero Academia game did the same thing. I wonder if this will become a trend…

*Edit* — Of course, the delays are likely due to Covid-19 and everybody needing record voicework at home. Simuldub anime has been similarly affected. I figured English dubbed video games would be delayed to accommodate the voice acting, but I suppose this works.
