13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Gets Japanese Release Date, New Trailer

Atlus and Vanillaware have announced that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim is set to be released in Japan on November 28, 2019. The game will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4. In addition to the release date announcement, more details were revealed for the game, including new screenshots, a new trailer, and some gameplay footage shown during a four-hour stream.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim takes place after a catastrophe hits the planet following the arrival of large meteorite-like objects. The game follows thirteen protagonists, a group of teenage boys and girls who pilot large robots called “Sentinels”, with the game split into adventure, archive, and battle sections.

During adventure sections, players will look to solve mysteries using keywords picked up in conversation. These keywords can potentially change into different ones, which can then be used to pick up more keywords from other characters. Meanwhile, the archive section will let players revisit previous event scenes and reexamine the story so far. Finally, combat consists of strategic encounters where players use and organise four types of Sentinels in battles against large enemy creatures.
