Ys VIII Receives PC Update

During its panel at PAX South, NIS America announced that it has released a major update for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Danas PC version. The update includes numerous graphical upgrades, improved mouse controls, individual key bindings, and stability and performance improvements. In addition, an experimental local two-player co-op mode is now available on Steam, as well as a new high-quality texture pack. To mark the release of the update, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is on sale at a 50% discount on Steam until January 21, 2020. The full list of changes and instructions on how to activate the co-op can be found here.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was initially released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2017. An updated localisation was released via patch and was followed by releases on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2018. The game follows longtime series protagonist Adol (and Dogi) after they become shipwrecked on the Isle of the Seiren.
