THQ Nordic Acquires Gunfire Games

The studio responsible for developing some of the Darksiders series has been bought by THQ Nordic. Gunfire Games, which worked as a development partner of THQ Nordic for years, will now be wholly owned by the Swedish publisher. The acquisition includes all IPs from Gunfire and more than sixty employees.

Gunfire Games is an American development studio and was founded in 2014. The company developed Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition for multiple consoles before creating Darksiders III last year. The team from Gunfire Games will continue to create games that focus on the action adventure genre with full creative freedom moving forward.
