After the giant Show 500 last week, we’re back to a more normal format. A robust Minecraft discussion during Now Playing precedes news including first hints of things being shown at E3. We also discuss your feedback and this week’s releases include a game both Kelley and Anna Marie are very excited for!

For pre-show streams, aside from the obvious Devolver I’m curious about Limited Run’s video since they had some surprising releases last year and are rolling out their last Vita games this year.

As for booths, aside from committing several illegal acts to play a ton of Fire Emblem Three Houses I’m looking forward to hopefully trying the Genesis Mini at Sega and running into Anna.

QoTW: I suppose I’m curious what Nintendo has up its sleeve for E3.

Last week’s QoTW: I have no interest in World of Warcraft Classic, because I played through that game’s story years ago. However, several Classic WoW leveling quest zones were COMPLETELY replaced with brand new leveling quests in the Cataclysm expansion. That could be a motive for gamers who never experienced the original quest zone stories to play Classic.

Sidenote about last week’s podcast: Zeboyd Games’ Penny Arcade Episode 3 DOES include the “create-a-character” avatar from the first two episodes by Hothead Games, in a free DLC bonus episode “The Beginning of the End”.

For reasons that should be obvious, the avatar is referred to with gender-ambiguous pronouns, and their features are hidden because Tycho puts them in a sack. This doesn’t stop the avatar from being playable in battle. The avatar’s name in battle is “You”, and the episode is about the avatar’s ultimate fate.

Penny Arcade Episodes 3 and 4 are two of the best retro-style RPGs I’ve ever played, and I highly recommend both of them.

QOTW: I’m, more or less, looking forward to just all of E3 as a whole. Even Microsoft’s, even though I don’t own more want a XBOne, at least shows things that eventually come to PC. Buuuut, if I had to choose, it’d have to be Nintendo, Devolver, and Squenix. Gimme my Animal Crossings, my Link to the Past Remakes, my FF7 Remakes, and Devolver showing off amazing games I never knew I needed in my life until that moment 😆

It’s a hard QOTW to answer this week, all my gaming needs have been addressed so far this year: Dragon Quest 11S is coming so I can play in 2D, Rune Factory is back!!!!!, as is Grandia (well, kind of). Some information about the new Dragon Quest Monsters game or the move of Etrian Odyssey & SMTV to the Switch would be nice, but those aren’t really E3 things. I guess I’ll just be keeping my eyes open for anything and everything!

That reminds me that when I called last I didn’t here the usual greeting by Chris but a google message and I wasn’t sure if it was still working right. Probably is.

For question of the week, I’m a simple person, give me more of that final fantasy 7!
