The Madness of the Malkavians Seeps Into Bloodlines 2

The next clan reveal for Hardsuit Labs’ Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has happened, with this new trailer teasing the Malkavians and their unsettling brand of vampire. The Malkavians have a unique, if not greater, perception of the world around them, though it often causes its members to manifest numerous psychoses. It does make Malkavians prime subjects to become oracles in the vampire world, as their strange outlook often gives them insights into things others cannot see.

A Malkavian’s abilities are less combat-focused and more about altering minds. Dementation allows for players to haunt the minds of others with fragments of the character’s psychosis or send them into bloody rages where the target will attack anything it can. A Malkavian can also sharpen its own mind using their Auspex abilities, including a magical vision that grants a sense of the surroundings, as well as Psychic Projection, which allows the user to leave their body to observe any nearby areas.

The long-awaited sequel to the 2004 original, Bloodlines 2 brings the vampire underworld to Seattle and embroils the player in the political machinations of the city’s many vampires. The game is set to release in the first quarter of 2020.
