Square Enix Reveals Oninaki Character Trailer

Square Enix dropped a character reveal trailer, viewable below, for Tokyo RPG Factory’s upcoming game, Oninaki. This is the third RPG being developed by Tokyo RPG Factory, the other two being I am Setsuna and Lost Sphear. Oninaki is set for a worldwide release this summer for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

In Oninaki, the Watchers are a group that help usher souls to the afterlife. The trailer introduces Kagachi, a Watcher with heterochromia who serves as the game’s central protagonist; Linne, a magical little girl with amnesia; the grizzled veteran Kushi who watches over the group; and kind-hearted Mayura who wields a fierce scythe in battles. The game’s villain, the Night Devil, is also introduced as a man with an evil aura that is hunting Linne down for unknown reasons. One fateful encounter leads Linne to Kagachi which intertwines their journeys henceforth.
