Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 Announced

Announced at the 2018 Game Awards, KOEI Tecmo and Team Ninja are working together to revive the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance franchise with a brand new entry in the series labeled Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The trailer showcases characters mostly seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but does include Wolverine in the mix of heroes present. The video ends revealing the game will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch and will be available sometime in 2019.

The Ultimate Alliance series are an action RPGs that focus on co-op battles where up to four champions can run around maps and wreak havoc on the waves of flunkies the stage-villain throws out to be cannon fodder. The last Ultimate Alliance game, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, released back in 2009. The new game is being published by Nintendo.

Well… guess I’ll never play this game. Kinda stupid it is a Switch Exclusive. So, this game has already been doomed to fail.

I don’t believe so, the Switch has sold amazingly well.

it was doing amazingly well, but recent sales figures/articles have shown that it’s momentum is slowing. but i’m not sure why this is even a concern these days it’s easier than ever to port games everything uses unity/dx11/opengl/vulkan. it’ll be out on switch to and ps4/5 network and xbox-whatever probably in a year. they don’t always announce spreading their IPs to other platforms 2-10 years in the future. like 8-bit NES games on wii. probably because of some contract they have with Nintendo
