Banner Saga 3 Opens the Eternal Arena

Stoic has released a new patch for the PC version of Banner Saga 3 that introduces a brand new mode. Called the Eternal Arena, this new mode brings two distinct types of gameplay: Eternal Challenge and Arena Mode.

Eternal Challenge is a series of weekly challenges that players will be given a full range of options to explore and solve. Included is a leaderboard that tracks and displays weekly rankings for each challenge as players vie for the high score. Arena Mode allows players to create custom battles with open rulesets. Players will place enemies and alter the rules to construct unique scenarios. To tackle this, players will be given full customization options featuring all forty-six characters from across the trilogy.

Banner Saga 3, released earlier this year, is the final entry in the series following a traveling Viking clan searching for a new home as the world ends. The game is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. The Eternal Arena is currently only available on PC.
