First Look at Mobile Game Wild ARMs: Million Memories

The long-running Wild West RPG series, Wild ARMs, has a new entry. The series is heading to mobile devices in the form of Wild ARMs: Million Memories. Developed by Wright Flyer Studios, this game is set to launch on iOS and Android devices in Japan. Publisher ForwardWorks has stated this game will be free-to-play with in-app purchases available to players.

In the release trailer, portraits of characters from each game in the series are displayed. The video introduces a new heroine to the series, Brittany, who dreams of becoming an ARMs master like her grandfather. Brittany is seen interacting with many familiar faces from the Wild ARMs franchise. Though much of the story has yet to be revealed, it appears as though the antagonist known as Mother, from the original Wild ARMs, is the catalyst for the game’s plot.

Battles are fought on a 3D grid with a single character fighting alone on the field. Players can switch between three different characters using their portraits on the lower left section of the screen. Rudy Roughknight and Jack van Burace from Wild ARMs and Virginia Maxwell from Wild ARMs 3 are highlighted in the trailer, though the game will also feature, but not limited to, Ashley Winchester, Jude Maverick, Clarissa Arwin, and Dean Stark from Wild ARMs 2, 4, XF, and 5, respectively. Players can swipe to move their controlled character around on the battle grid and strike the opponents with close and long-range attacks.

Depending on the number of pre-registrations made through the game’s official website, each player will receive bonus in-game Gimel Coins, Wild ARMs‘ currency. No release date has been announced for Wild ARMs: Million Memories. The game has only been announced for Japan markets.

This is what happens when you wish on a monkey’s paw for more Wild ARMs games.

This is shameful… This is how you kill a series. I enjoyed 1-3, 5 and AC:F. 4 was terrible and too linear.

I’ve been waiting for a new Wild ARMs to get announced and this is what we get. Pure garbage.

I wish we’d get a true remaster for PS4 for the first 3 at least. But no… we only get the PS Classics for digital.
