The Lost Child Arrives in North America

NIS America has released Kadokawa Games dungeon-crawling RPG The Lost Child in North America. The game is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita, with the game being released for those same platforms in Europe on Friday, June 22, 2018.

The Lost Child is created by certain staff members who previously worked on El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, and sees players investigating dungeons known as Layers, summoning spirits known as Astrals to fight with them. Anna Marie Privitere was able to try the game out at E3 and reported back with her impressions.

Got through the first dungeon last night. Enjoyable and scratching the dungeon-crawling itch for now, though story is nowhere near as deep and gameplay not as polished as SMT. Hoping the dungeon size doesn’t go up too much as the game progresses, because that first one started pushing it a bit with not much to break it up. Also the text size is potentially going to be an issue for some playing on Switch handheld mode.
