Pillars of Eternity II Available Now

Obsidian Entertainment and Versus Evil have officially released Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. The sequel is now available on both PC and Mac for $49.99/£32.99/€45.99. A new launch trailer was also released alongside the game, giving players a taste of what to expect from the title. Deadfire is still set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch at some point later in 2018.

The sequel to the Kickstarter success story Pillars of Eternity and a crowdfunded achievement in its own right, Deadfire brings players back to the world of Eora. The god of light and death, Eothas, awakens beneath the player’s fortress of Caed Nua, destroying it and nearly killing the player in the process. Determined to find answers, the player travels to the Deadfire Archipelago to seek out the wandering god while getting embroiled in the conflicts gripping the region.

Am I the only one that grows very weary of these “Baldur’s Gate” style games where the party members never do what you tell them? I can’t believe I actually managed to finish Pillars of Eternity on ANY difficulty due to the party AI.

Can someone just bring back more Gold Box AD&D style games or am I pretty much wishing in one hand here?
