Dragon Quest XI S Prepares for Switch Release with New Trailer

Nintendo has released a “World of Erdrea” trailer for the upcoming Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age. This Definitive Edition brings RPGamer’s 2018 Game of the Year award winner to the Nintendo Switch, along with a host of improvements and additions. Counted among those are a full symphonic soundtrack option, Japanese voice-overs, an option to switch to the 2D version of the game only seen in the Japanese 3DS release, new mounts, and all-new story content for each of the Luminary’s companions.

Dragon Quest XI was originally released in Japan in 2017, before coming west in 2018. Dragon Quest XI S will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch, and is set for a worldwide release on September 27, 2019.
