Genesis Maidens DLC Coming to Echoes of Aincrad

Bandai Namco announced new DLC for action RPG Echoes of Aincrad: Sword Art Online. The Genesis Maidens DLC will release this winter, adding a new storyline and side quests across new areas of Floors 1 and 2 of Aincrad. It introduces a new ally — Misumi Tozawa, aka Mito, from the Sword Art Online Progressive films — who comes alongside the new curved sword weapon type. The DLC also includes a new armour enhancement system.

Developed by Game Studio Inc., Echoes of Aincrad is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game offers a retelling of the first arc in the Sword Art Online light novel and anime series. Players control a fully customisable character who is one of the players trapped in the game, soon reunited with a fellow beta tester called Iori. It also includes characters from the original series, including Kirito and Asuna.
