Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection’s Additional Side Story: Rudy DLC Out Now

During its Capcom Showcase presentation, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection’s Additional Side Story: Rudy DLC is now available. The DLC dives into the origin story of Royal Felyne companion Rudy and his famed ancestors, bringing him face-to-face with Monster Hunter Stories’s own Navirou and including an encounter with Nergigante. The DLC is available individually for $9.99, or included within the game’s Deluxe and Premium Deluxe Editions.

In addition to the new DLC, Capcom has also released a new free update for the game. The update includes a new higher difficulty version of the game’s final battle for those with completed save files. Completing the new hard version unlocks Royal Monster versions of almost every monster in the game, including Invasive Monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is part of the spin-off series where players control Monster Riders, those who partner up with and raise monsters. The game is set in a land with two major nations, Azuria and Vermeil, which are facing a crystal encroachment that is destroying the environment. Meanwhile, twin Skyscale Rathalos hatch, which is a supposed portent of destruction last seen from a civil war 200 years ago. Players control the heir to Azuria, who sets out to investigate the phenomena impacting the world, joined by Eleanor, the princess of Vermeil, who offers to act as a hostage.
