Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition Showcases Shionne

Bandai Namco released a new character trailer for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition. The new video for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 release of action RPG Tales of Arise showcases main character Shionne. She is a young woman cursed to inflict pain on anyone she touches and starts the game being chased by her own Renan compatriots. She teams up with protagonist Alphen, whose own curse allows him to touch her and use the Blazing Sword that is within her core.

Tales of Arise released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in 2021. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will release on May 22, 2026, and include the game’s Beyond the Dawn expansion as well as additional in-game costumes and items. The game is set on the twin planets Rena and Dahna, with Rena holding dominion over Dahna for the past 300 years.
