Co-op Action Roguelite Above Land: Rhapsody Announced

Developer Flying Amateurs has announced Above Land: Rhapsody, an action roguelite with drop-in/drop-out for one to three players. The game is in development for PC and is available to wishlist on Steam. A release window has not yet been announced.

Above Land: Rhapsody is set in a world above the clouds and sees players enter chapters of a comic book that was left behind by their mother. The story moves between a ruined present and a lost time when humans and giant creatures called Kun lived in harmony. Players are tasked with completing each map’s challenge to be able to bring back Stars and unlock further chapters.

Above Land: Rhapsody’s combat is built around dual-weapon loadouts, with players able to swap between their two weapons instantly. The game gives players a wide variety of items to wield, with more unusual options including basketballs, folding chairs, guitars, yo-yos, fireworks, and more. Each player is also joined by a companion creature called Wobbo that has multiple combat modes, plus summon and transformation-based abilities.
