Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Adventure Log Video Introduces Its Party

Square Enix released a new video for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. The three-minute “Adventure Log Part 2” video introduces the game’s main cast. The game follows the player-named protagonist, a fisherman’s son who sets off for adventure beyond their home island of Estard, joined by fellow party members Kiefer, Maribel, Ruff, Aishe, and Sir Mervyn.

A full remake of 2000 title Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined version features a diorama-style aesthetic, as well as additional content, features, and quality-of-life improvements. The game starts on Estard Island, an idyllic kingdom in a world with no other apparent landmasses. However, a group of childhood friends uncovers a way to travel back to the past, when other continents existed, and are able to restore them in the present. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will release for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 5, 2026. A demo is currently available on all platforms, with players able to transfer their save data to the full game.
