Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Shows More Side Content

Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio released additional screenshots and information for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. The new details cover more of the side content available in the game, which is planned to release worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12, 2026. The companies also announced that a livestream presentation for the game will be held at 5pm PST / 8pm EST on December 22, 2025, on YouTube and Twitch.

Yakuza 3 follows Kazuma Kiryu as he attempts to run an orphanage in Okinawa despite attempts to convert the land it is on into a seaside resort. While in Okinawa, he is able to train at the Miyazato Dojo, under the tutelage of Miya-san, owner of the Chura Bar. While a skilled fighter, he does not have many students, meaning the bar is his main source of income. He helps teach Kiryu the Ryukyu combat style inspired by Okinawan martial arts. As he improves, Kiryu can take promotion exams and learn new techniques.

Meanwhile, Kiryu can also join up with the Haisai Girls, a female biker gang that helps protect Okinawa from other gangs such as the Tokyo Night Terrors. Kiryu is recruited by the gang’s young leader Tsubasa and must help lead them. As part of the gang, players can participate in Baddies Battles with up to five allies as well as larger Rumbles involving up to twenty members taking on up to a hundred foes, while finding additional members, giving them new weapons, and upgrading their uniforms and bikes.

New members can be found around town by scouting them, completing substories, and playing mini-games, with recruitable members including familiar faces from the series. Each recruit has their own special abilities. Players form up to four squads, each with a leader and four other members. During battles, squads will retreat if their leader is defeated. Bikes and uniforms can be customised, allowing players to create their own personal look for the gang.

In addition, the new Dark Ties storyline, which follows Yoshitaka Mine in Kamurocho as he rises through the ranks of the Tojo Clan, has additional side content. This includes the Hell’s Arena, an underground fight club that Mine decides to bring by entering the arena himself. This pits him in brutal fights against enemies, where he is required to knock the opponent out within a time limit, as well as Survival Hell races, where he must advance through a dungeon, avoid hunters, and defeat a boss to reach the goal.
