Remedy Entertainment Reveals CONTROL Resonant

Developer Remedy Entertainment announced its latest title, CONTROL Resonant. The game is a sequel to 2019 action-adventure title CONTROL, which is set in the same universe as the Alan Wake series. It is billed as an open ended action-adventure RPG and is planned to release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.

CONTROL Resonant puts players in the role of Dylan Faden, a human with extraordinary powers, who is deployed by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) during a supernatural crisis. Battling a strange cosmic entity and various other threats overwhelming Manhattan, Dylan looks to harness his newfound powers while also searching for his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden.

The game will also have players able to explore multiple areas of Manhattan as an unknown force reshapes the environments and distorts the rules of physics. Players will also venture into a metaphysical space reflecting Dylan’s psyche while shaping his abilities. Combat sees players able to utilise the environment, elemental abilities, and Dylan’s Aberrant shapeshifting weapon.
