CONTROL Resonant New Game Plus Details Revealed

Remedy Entertainment released details regarding New Game Plus mode in its upcoming action RPG CONTROL Resonant. The New Game Plus mode will let players carry over their Aberrant abilities, health improvements, abilities, talents, and artifacts into their next run through the game. Traversal abilities do not carry over due to their ties into the game’s story. The New Game Plus is designed to allow players to experiment more with character builds, offering more flexibility in combining combat abilities, as well as unlocking a fourth artifact equipment slot. In turn, the game will offer more challenge in its combat encounters, including bosses potentially having new abilities and behaviours that might change the dimensions of a fight.

CONTROL Resonant is a sequel to 2019 action-adventure title CONTROL, which is set in the same universe as the Alan Wake series. Players control Dylan Faden, a human with extraordinary powers, who is deployed by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) during a supernatural crisis. Battling a strange cosmic entity and various other threats overwhelming Manhattan, Dylan looks to harness his newfound powers while also searching for his sister, FBC Director Jesse Faden. The game is planned to release on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
