Lost Soul Aside Update Adds New Challenge Mode
Sony and Ultizero Games have announced a free update for action RPG Lost Soul Aside. The update will release for PC and PlayStation 5 on November 18, 2025, and includes a new “Surge of Voidrax” challenge mode as well as a variety of audiovisual and gameplay improvements.
The Surge of Voidrax mode sees Liana constructing a special dimension to seal the scattered Voidrax energy. However, this energy manifests into Phantom Voidrax and unleashes relentless surges of Voidrax energy. As Liana’s request, players enter the Surge of Voidrax Dimension, where they take on up to 100 waves of foes as they try to stabilise the seal. In the mode, players have access to all skill trees and four main weapons, and can earn cosmetic rewards when they clear specific waves for the first time.
In addition, the update lets players skip the game’s prologue when starting a new game and adds a new Voidrax Pathfinder, which guides players to objectives or helps unlock puzzles should they need it. It also includes new weapon, accessory, and character skins; cinematic cutscene improvements; customisable controls; and refined combat controls.
Lost Soul Aside follows Kaser, who is attempting to save his sister, and humankind, from dimensional invaders. He wields a shape-shifting weapon that adapts to the player’s combat style and is joined by a dragon-like companion called Arena who provides additional combat abilities.
