Astral Ascent Getting Animal-Focused Charity DLC

Hibernian Workshop announced new charity DLC for 2D roguelite Astral Ascent. Celestial Haven is the game’s third DLC following Yamat, The Breach Traveler, which added a new playable character, and The Outer Reaches, which added new biomes and a boss fight. Celestial Haven adds a new area called the Shelter to the game’s main hub, where players can interact with various animals. These animals can join the player in their exploration, digging up potential rewards while cheering them on.

Celestial Haven will have a minimum price of $1.99, with all proceeds from its sales being donated to One Voice. One Voice is a French animal welfare organisation dedicated to defending animals worldwide from violence and abuse. Celestial Haven will release for PC on November 24, 2025, with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch releases to follow soon after.

Astral Ascent released in 2023 and is set in a modern fantasy world. It sees players controlling one of four different heroes as they attempt to escape from the Garden, an astral prison guarded by twelve bosses known as the Zodiacs. As players get stronger from their runs they will learn more about the story and characters. The game features full English voice overs as well as two-player local co-op.
