Astral Ascent Gets Animated Pre-Launch Trailer

Developer Hibernian Workshop released an animated cinematic trailer for Astral Ascent ahead of the game’s full release next week. The minute-long video — created by Tokkun Studio — comes ahead of the 2D roguelite’s launch for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on November 14, 2023, after spending a year and half on Steam Early Access.

Astral Ascent is set in a modern fantasy world. It sees players controlling one of four different heroes as they attempt to escape from the Garden, an astral prison guarded by twelve bosses known as the Zodiacs. As players get stronger from their runs they will learn more about the story and characters. The game features full English voice overs as well as two-player local co-op.
